Everything we know about the world—the smell of pine, the feel of granite, the glow of distant stars—comes to us through our senses. They connect our inner selves to the outer world.
But photographer Guy Hand has found that favoring one sense over another can skew your view of that world. He travels to a nature sound recording workshop in the Sierra Mountains of California, and tries listening to a landscape he once only looked at.
